!Summer --- agk's diary 22 March 2022 @ 12:57 UTC --- written on GPD Win 1 via puTTY, brain foggy; crying a little from exhaustion after arguing --- I submitted another 20 page paper Saturday night, on interprofessional compassionate care. I didn't finish early enough to make the AA bonfire meeting at my sponsor's house, but nailed the paper. 100%. Saturday night I took the 90-question HESI practice exam but didn't quite make 80%. I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to sign up online for the real HESI exam, slept 4 hours, and headed to work. I had a tough group of 5-11 year-olds in the inpatient psych hospital. The therapist Ms. Miranda lay on the floor in the hallway with one of my boys, paper, and crayons. Before she left the unit he presented me with a letter in blue crayon: "Ms. Anna, I'm sorry for biting you. I won't do it again. <3" Bugz and her guy took down a tree all day Friday or Saturday. They invited me to come watch. I wanted to but couldn't. Jay and Jess invited me over for games Saturday night. I couldn't do that either. Evy and our daughter were in Chicago all weekend for a conference with her union brothers, then went to Ohio to celebrate Fathers Day with her dad. It's summer and beautiful. I want to be outdoors with family and friends. I want to rest off this post-COVID brain fog. Thank God for roommate. Saturday was his last quar- antine day. He watched half the compassionate care webinar with me. He listened to me read a journal article I dug up and drafts of my paper. While he played Don't Starve he listened all day to the rat- tling of my new keyboard's buckling springs. "I heard how hard you worked today," he said.
