# My Camera History - alfred's Gemlog


Gone

* Kodak Instamatic 110 - Disappointing image quality. 
* Olympus XA - Hard to focus well, except at infinity. Great landscapes, poor portraits.
* Canon AE-1 - Excellent, but I should have added a wide-angle lens instead of a zoom. 
* Fujifilm AX200, AX650 - Great results; pocketable for hiking.
* Canon A3000IS - Good, but no panorama option. Eventually it couldn't focus at full zoom. 

Current

* Fujifilm A210 - found! 
* Olympus SP-565UZ (superzoom) - extremely versatile; DSLR-like controls. Viewfinder helpfully mirrors rear display. Great results, given the sensor. 
* Nikon D3400 (DSLR) - Excellent results, but confusing and busy UI. Viewfinder info relatively sparse.
