# Horses for Courses - alfred's Gemlog


My current bicycle is the Flat Bar Road Bike by Nashbar. It replaced an old, rusting hybrid, and the skinny, smooth road bike tires were less buzzy on my indoor rollers. 

Those rollers suited me for many years, but eventually they became too tough on my lower back. Since I now just bike on pavement, I'd like to return to a hybrid or gravel bike for a surer and cushier ride on imperfect roads. The flat handlebar also caused wrist pain, even with a riser. English-style pullback bars look promising, but bikes with them are seldom designed for hilly terrain.
