# Hello, old friend - alfred's Gemlog

While clearing out my mom's apartment, I came across my first digital camera: the Fujifilm FinePix A210, which served me from 2003-10. I was very pleased to find it - it has a couple of nice features that are rare these days: an optical viewfinder, and it's powered by two AA (NiMH) batteries. 

One thing that I didn't remember: it's chunky! Two inches deep when turned off and lens retracted. It also forgets the date/time whenever you remove the memory card. 

Still, it was the camera that captured a lot of memorable shots of my young kids during those years.
