# Initial Thoughts on the Pi 500+ - alfred's Gemini capsule

## Some Perspective

As usual, when a higher-priced Raspberry Pi is released, some complain that RPi Ltd. have forgotten their mission. Instead, what seems to be forgotten is that a wide variety of low-end Raspberry Pi devices are still in production - and will be for some time, especially since commercial and industrial purchasers account for as much as 80% of sales volume. 

## Design Thoughts

I have no use for RGB LEDs, and I slightly prefer component systems over all-in-one designs. The integrated SSD slot is nice, but access requires removing screws and careful prying. The mechanical keyboard should actuate keystrokes more reliably and accurately.
