As Gemini is intended to be text-centric, and my quota on this server is small, the images on this page have been converted to low resolution. They are merely suggestive of their full-resolution source; even then, some are from color-shifted prints or deteriorated negatives. So there's no Ansel Adams-quality wallpapers to be found here - just some of photos I took that I've always found interesting for one reason or another. For starters:

## Nikon D3400
Interestingly, the higher the photo resolution, the harder it seems to avoid noise when downgrading the jpg quality (after resizing) to meet an arbitrary 27674 byte file size limit (per user tyjak) for Gemini images hosted at sdf.org. This DSLR's 24 mp (maximum) resolution makes image degradation very hard to avoid without resizing the originals even smaller before adjusting the quality slider.
