Well, today was my birthday. I have not done much as I am going out to celebrate with my partner at the weekend. No work today, dyed my hair and went for a cycle ride. Starting to see the leaves change color as autumn approaches. I love the autumn so I am welcoming the change. I tried out Omarchy, a newish Arch Linux hyprland config but Arch Linux had trouble installing the GPU drivers for my old laptop. Went back to Endevour OS, which always plays well with the old laptop. Although it is frustrating to have to redo something if things don't work out there are two truths that I find give me solace. One, it's always good to try something out if it could be an improvement but also good to know when to rollback if it is not. Two, a redo often gives you perspectives you never noticed on the first run through. As you get older you don't get much for your birthday but you do get wiser and that makes it all worthwhile.
