I've enjoyed writing about whatever is on my mind, mostly positive things. The floppy drive is getting pretty full. "computing my addiction" used up a lot of space. That area of the disc is not complete mirrored because the text file for the book Underground is larger than a 1.44 megabyte floppy. It does reside on the floppy disc, but as a xz compressed file. --------------------------------- :> fdisk -lu /dev/sdb Disk /dev/sdb: 1.4 MiB, 1474560 bytes, 2880 sectors Disk model: USB-FDU Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disklabel type: dos Disk identifier: 0x00000000 Device Boot Start End Sectors Size Id Type /dev/sdb1 1 2879 2879 1.4M 83 Linux :> df -h /dev/sdb1 Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/sdb1 1.4M 1006K 326K 76% /floppy --------------------------------- Once I fill up the floppy, I'll format another floppy call it volume 2, and continue on with the gopher hole --------------------------------- A question for another post: --------------------------------- Why oh why isn't gopher more popular. Its so dang easy to publish text files?
