OK this is just a simple software recommendation. 

If you are a text only or text mostly terminal mostly curses
mostly user, and you like the idea of a notebook, take a look at
hierarchical notebook. Its a nice tool for creating notebooks
and supports basic tasks. 

Allows for sub notes and folding or unfolding of sub notes.

Its a neat tool and works great with tmux or screen. 

That's my recommended software for today.
