The faint glow of the day gone by, horizons I will never know all but gone, for my memory tells me so, of the nights I lived long ago. Now I'm here with gray atop my hair is more like a northwest ocean shore, with lots of broken wood that lay washed up from far away. I remember those nights, just barely, now is the time for remembering, and there the new me must stay, for here is the new old me, just me, and who I was was then is gone, and now is here it must begin. I had my time and it wasn't long, enjoy the memories if I can, and know, that was a life time ago gone. I used to be out all night. I miss it so, but time to rest again, so tomorrow I can do what must be done, the days of play and fun were fun, but go they go, and it is the way life is spun.
