date: Wed 01 Jul 2026 23:34:02 PM PDT - 3.6 M subj: scared to speak up corp landia ------------------------------------------------- I've heard somethings, are they true? Just a fun story. I'll let you decide. In corporate landia also known as ClownWorld, exists a hierarchical structure. Said structure causes what looks to senior workers near the bottom of the hierarchy to have a belief those at the top most often have some of the darkest, fowlest, idiotic, despotic ooze flowing from their mouth, out over their leaderSHIP team numskull's, causing their brain to rot and melt dripping down their backs, into the crack of their ass, slurped right into the mouth of upper and middle management, where upon those people who once might have been workers become infected with rotten skull slurpings, and start spewing propaganda into the work machine. At no point does any of them push back because the sweet ass nectar inebriates them into a drone like state. It all starts with a simple leadership change. Three weeks later the first megalithic act the new leader does, is change the name of organization for which they are assigned. Then they have a huge meeting with their numskulls surrounding them, and begin to speak to how their new organization's name reflects some sort of esoteric phenomena that imbued values for adoption by all.. mean while the workforce below them wonders at what palace served the sacrifice of lead infused blood that has taken these lunatics into another realm where they haven't completely crossed back over into reality. Is it the metaverse? Are they attempting to terraform and expand their radius of habitability to vaporize all semblance of meaning and understanding in the workforce? I've never heard or seen leaders and specially IT leaders actual make things better for the workers, the processes, or even the business. At the bottom of the structure its like watching the worst worker in the organization who costs the company the most money, destroying all that was working, destroying millions of dollars, and then getting paid 2x the millions they cost the company, by taking every working system built by the smartest people, putting all of the well defined and redefined processes built over many years, into a huge toilet, then flushing it. In the toilet senior workers weighing the most due to having obtained the most understanding quickly sink and flow out the sewage system immediately. Those left possessing an approximation of knowledge are weighed down by cling on consultants leaching KT (knowledge termination). The cycle is repeated a few more times until a majority of company knowledge is mixed and washed away, this is called brain-drain. The new leader peering into the huge toilet gestures wildly, attempts an incantation uttering spell verbage "At Scale! Step Functional Strength on Strength To Pace Pivot Alignment Leverage Agile Agile Impact Win AGILE Incentivize Logistics Big Data Deliverables! Monitize! Profitize! AGILE AGILE MVP! grant me thee! AI!!!!!!" LeaderSHIP smiling and nodding, claps their hands like grade school children in auditorium school assembly. The leader looks into the swirling pool of chaos. Eyes bulging as a dark smoky sledge oozes from fanged jaws, the sledge drips into the pool of chaos. Thousands of helpless workers go blind instantly, confounded cries of horror ring out. LeaderSHIP bow and prostrate heaving the gorge of wine, raw meat, toes and fingers of catering staff, and Tiramisu bits onto the marble floor. Middle management cry out with lust at the spewage. Wielding pseudo Montblanc pens for the broil, management instinctively grapple and stab at nearby co-workers in hopes at gaining advance to slurp the spoiling froth bubbling on the marble floor. Screams and a noxious yellow fog ascends from the toilet flowing over and filling the executive conference hall. The leader stands speaks "next slide! Next! No Back! Stop! Next Next Next!" The confusion descends across the hall through the intercoms, into the cameras over the webernets through the monitor screens and speakers on workers desks, and blazes into their eyes and ears. The workers hearts begin to break, their heads begin to fall. Their rage begins to brew, as their morale plummets. Workers thoughts .."Stupidity has won yet again. Its just like the last time!" Signs of the prophesy were witnessed, Rumors of expected ILOs are on the horizon. Leaked organizational finance documents hit the internets showing organization net loss of billions in the first quarter, resulting in raises for leadership. The ritual has been performed. :( Workers wonder where the fuck does this insanity reign from. It happens again and again, every three to five years. Then the flow down starts, usually with a corporate survey used to measure the state of morale engineered to pulse current work force psychology to determine how far workers can be pushed. With their morale low, anxiety high, worker tasks red-lined, and fear driven competitiveness maxed, Leaders suggest changes with claims workforce specifically asked for shittier conditions, more oversight, more work, less advancement, and less opportunity, all colored with loving corporate double speak. Usually this is aimed at the majority which are those having worked for the company five years or less. Their ignorance and lack of historical memory of the ritualistic bullshit allows leaders to play the same game over and over again. New workforce performance metrics via goals and objectives, not set by management, but instead set by the workers themselves. Management has no clue as to what anyone's goals and objectives should be, nor how to run the company. Management's primary concern is licking ass up the hierarchy, and advancing their own career. They don't usually care enough to advance the company or their workers, and this is shown by the fact they don't assign direct achievable goals. The same type of shit goals and objectives abandoned for better corporate culture performance six years before, with claims for anyone not mutilated by the ritual still having a job, was asked for in the corporate survey. Totally unbelievable! In all-team meetings leaders do nothing akin to leading or inspiring anyone. They tell everyone, "Tell us what we should be doing for the company." If you tell them how they are doing or what they are doing is wrong, they behave like little children with their big tantrums. Usually flame you, then add anyone who isn't on "The Team" to the ILO list, or pigeon holes. Once there was a honey badger hired specifically to slash and burn, and during a meeting a teammate spoke up, with good sense; this was a teammate who had over fifteen years of experience, ten direct years of experience to the subject matter, and although we were all encouraged to speak our mind and participate the moment it happened, on the global meeting the leader/badger berated the teammate. That leader did exactly as hired, which was to cut millions of cost by issuing VLOs and ILOs. The impact of the flame heard by the local team, was significant, and caused several individuals to take VLOs. The remaining members either refused to take mandatory voluntary anonymous corporate surveys, or give dishonest answers. The constant asked if the survey had been taken, or direct request to take the voluntary survey by directors and managers, so they can obtain some corporate kudo, caused those who would take the surveys to refuse to answer honestly, creating bullshit results. Usually the outcomes of the survey are nothing but nonsense where management attempt to assign themselves goals in front of workers, and then never mention those goals again, then a year later they show up on the next survey and the process starts again. The predecessor to the honey badger let go ten-thousand employees. Back to the flamed teammate, three to four years later it became clear the leader was wrong, the result was disastrous, and the sane managers who were asked why the turn of direction were honest enough to say the former direction sucked. That manager/director only worked for the company one year more after the admission of failed initiatives to the workers. Training is kinda like surveys except not voluntary as well. Training is required and the deadline to complete training will be months from the assigned date, but managers swing round in person, or via emails to hound employees to complete the survey the week it was issued, so they can tell some ass fuck up the chain how awesome they are. In reality it falsely portrays workers having enough free time to immediate complete the training. These managers would get into competitions against other units for who's "team" completed the training, and or surveys first. If you happened to tell management you are working on actual work, oh hell no, performance ratings drop. As of late the new thing with performance is although goals and objectives were set and signed off, upon delivery of KPI (Key Performance Indicators), management wants to know in what way are you (the worker) going beyond your current objectives. What the fuck are you talking about management!? There is no more time, or objectives, this is what you signed off on and you'll be luckily to get that you fucking slurpy slurper. What is wrong with these people? Once a director conveyed leadership's desire of our niche market company compared a small commodities tech device producer with significant returns, asking the entire team to come up with a way to achieve returns like the small commodities company. I remember wondering if the leader has any clue at the inability of that prospect knowing the current and future market saturation, as well as R&D costs, and manufacturing time. But still our performance rating was based on our ability to create profits for the company even though our team was a cost (IT services) component of the company. The director's lack of awareness was astonishing, and if any word to the contrary of insanity would label the person anti lunacy. If you are against the asylum, you are "Not on the team!" Afraid to speak out is real. Surrounded by a group of people, those who've advanced in their careers to management, director, executive, etc, none of which are speaking against utter nonsense creates psychological pressure against those who see things differently. So much so that even asking for understanding produces fear, because often past queries have been made, and responses with buzzwords, abstraction, lets take that question "offline", and just plain non-responses as if the question asked was from another planet. Such response to questions produces a learned behavior that equates to keep mouth shut at all times. Under the good sense of food and living expenses are high, and eating is a priority, so I rather eat vs right the ship I'm on. Leaders know this, thrive on it, and use it to their advantage. They take huge sums of cash, leave a pittance for the real workers, live in castles, fly first class round the world, and have peons travel hours to obtain their Mountain Dew's and PBJ sandwiches with crusts cut off. All the while few of the leaders could actually sit down and show any of their workers how to actually do the workers jobs. When did that requirement vanish from the working world, where managers and leaders know how to do what their workers do, because they were once a worker in the company? A majority of the leaders come from some selection pool out of ClownWorld and if a person shakes a stick in their direction flames bolt from leaderSHIP's eyes vaporizing the worker instantly. The display of power is an act specifically and purposely there to mentally manipulate the workforce. The actors themselves start to believe they are magical beings from another dimension. Even the workers gain those beliefs, and if a leader blesses a worker, the proof is the worker's immediate ascension to the exclusive club. Sometimes its just better to have lived a life as a worker, with morals and soul intact, compared with rising to the top. In reality a person displaying power without ability has no real power. If they want a worker to build, but they can't build it themselves, there is no real power. Imagine its winter and a person without the ability to build a shelter orders others to build it under duress. The person ordering will not survive the winter without the shelter, and although the workers will be terminated if they don't obey the orders to work, all will die without the shelter. The person with power actually had none, and their fate is the same as those not willing to succumb to fake posturing of power. Its better to work with others than have them work for you. There is no rise without the stain of ooze. No rise without mutation. In the end we all die, and those who stepped on backs find themselves in the same place as those who's back was stepped on. Better to have never stepped on another back. But the lure, the carrot, life styles of the rich and famous has been played and pervaded throughout most of the culture today. Be a prince, and a princess, live the high life, let others wash your feet, instead of being the salt of the earth. If you write about the happenings in corplandia, in any other light but the policy specifies, the end of your job is likely to occur sooner than later. If you've been in corplandia, this story might resonate with you. If not, this is just a silly little tale of a place and time only the dammed shale understand.
