The doctors had the ultrasound crew looking into my wife's womb regularly, inspecting baby A, and baby B. My daughter was known as baby B. She was very small in my wife's womb. The doctor said she is tiny but mighty. :) To this day that has remained true. She is nowhere near as tiny as when she was born, and its really difficult to believe looking back how small she was, but at a year old now, she has grown a lot, and she is a beautiful little girl to me. She has such a wonderful smile, and personality. She loves dancing to music, any music. She listens very well. Today she was slapping the glass and I called her by her name, told her not to do that (I don't want that glass to break and hurt her, or her brother), and she turned back, looked at me, took her hands down, and did something else. Her brother ignores us 90% of the time, but not our daughter. Yesterday I was hanging out with our daughter in the playpen, and saw her pick up a little spinner with a suction cup on the bottom. The center has what looks like a ladybug (lady bird beetle), she held the outer part of the spinner, the part that would normally be spinning if it was stuck to the ground, or some other object by the suction cup, but if holding that part, one could spin the center where the ladybug is. That is what she started spinning. I was very impressed by this new activity of hers. Before she used to just hit the toy or throw it, not she is investigating her toys a bit more. For awhile she has been looking at her books. Its fun to watch her sit there with excellent posture reading her indestructible books, which amounts to looking at the pictures, and flipping the pages. One of her favorite things to do right now is wrestle or go nuts on the couch. She throws herself back, and sometimes forward, and then buries her face in the crook of the couch. Then she gets back up stands looking over the back of the couch and does it again and again. She'll do this for a half and hour. She has a great time, and we have an OK time, we are there to make sure she doesn't throw herself head first off the dang couch. I love you.
