There's something to ponder: no document freely
available to the public, like a blog, phlog, or
whatever can replace a private journal. It varies
from person to person, sure, but there are some
things you don't want to share with everybody or,
even anybody. Not necessarily because they are
sinister or something, but simply because, well

a) they can be of your own interest
b) you might be disclosing somebody else's
   concerns
c) they are seeds of idea that still need much
   polishing, a draft for example, or even
   notes

So keep a journal.txt or even a private, static
blog on your local machine. An index.html with
some basic css will do it, if you want it to
look pretty.

But, remember, plain text is beautiful.
