The case against atom (or rss) feeds on gopher can be summarized in one simple point: I see very few people at all using them. Granted, it's not like there are huge crowds on gopher, but still... I wonder if we could take a hint from gemini and do something like a gemfeed. That should go like a gophermap which includes a date, on some agreed format, for each selector (link) of the menu. It should be possible to do that without breaking the gopher specs, something like... 0Your Selector "Title" - YYYY-MM-DDgopher://whatever...etc Not to creativa but simple and easy to process. It should be easy even to generate a regular feed from there. As for keeping my feed, I'm on the fence right now. It's not that much of a hassle, but... OK, I won't repeat my reasons.
