Hello everyone,

I hope you had a nice january. Mine is going quite well,
I have a few job offers in the hopper and now I am faced
with the reality that is employment.

A good friend of mine suggested that I do not consider
how happy I will be at the job, only that I will not
hate it. The rest of your life can make you happy, your
job does not need to fill that role.

I agree with this wisdom, but I am still torn between
the two positions. Both offer growth, both offer
some freedom. both could be fun, and both are good
opportunities.

At that point, it is the rest of the variables that we
need to consider to solve the equation (or generate an
approximation). Commute time, opportunity for movement
within the company, benefits, opportunity to move
companies, what skills they foster.

I know the answers to these questions, it is merely
assigning the proper weights that is a challenge.
How much do I really value these things?
