construct the timeline comes entirely from the Bible, and in
particular, the book of Genesis.
What Does the New Testament Mean By “The Commandments”?urn:uuid:e8386790-4f68-40ae-967e-67a1124f200b2021-09-12T10:44:34+1000
Some feel that when, “the commandments” are mentioned in the New
Testament books—the Apostolic Writings—that it is the Ten
Commandments in particular to which it refers. However, an
explicitly named thing called, “The Ten Commandments,” is never
mentioned anywhere in the Hebrew Scriptures, nor in the Apostolic
Writings. It turns out that a tight focus on, “The Ten
Commandments,” to the exclusion of the rest of the Law, is an
idiosyncracy not based on biblical precedent. This focus may
indicate a lack of full appreciation for what the ten commandments
really are, which in turn can be attributed in a cause-and-effect
manner, to a general, widespread rejection and neglect of Torah.
Snippet: Yeshua the Sabbath Breaker?David Trudgetturn:uuid:d05f7c3e-28e9-47b9-ad33-b344d4a73afd2021-03-28T16:48:13+1000
Did Yeshua break the Sabbath in the grain fields of Galilee? Many
say that he did, and that he thumbed his nose at the Pharisees.
Some say that he did not, but that he only broke the Pharisees'
man-made additions to the Law of God: their traditions and the
"fences" that they put up around God's Law invented to keep people
at a safe distance from actually breaking God's command.

Talking Point: The Last EnemyDavid Trudgetturn:uuid:0b1371e3-c18a-4aea-ac88-b5f9d8bcb37c2020-08-21T13:28:20+1000
The last enemy that will be abolished is death, because he has put
all things in subjection under his feet.
Talking Point: Everlasting Life to Those Holding FaithfulDavid Trudgetturn:uuid:86144276-62eb-4b89-83da-59bf1d9488362020-08-11T12:22:03+1000
Because the Almighty to such an extent loved the world that he
gave his only kindred son, that anyone holding faithful to him may
not perish, but may have life everlasting.
N.B. The 'may' and 'may not' are in the subjunctive mood, and not
in the indicative mood. In English, it is possible to misread
these words in the indicative, meaning that holding faithful only
gives a possibility of everlasting life, instead of the certainty.
In the correct reading (subjunctive mood), the words mean that
holding faithful enables the outcome of not perishing and
receiving everlasting life, and that this outcome is only
depending on one's faithfulness.
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one
receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win. (First
Corinthians 9:24)
Talking Point: Choose LifeDavid Trudgetturn:uuid:7c3ab0d7-b912-4ace-96ea-27c2af13e91e2020-08-07T10:31:52+1000
I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I
have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse.
Therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your
descendants; to love Yahweh your God, to obey his voice, and to
cling to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days;
that you may dwell in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers,
to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
Talking Point: Love Yahweh Your GodDavid Trudgetturn:uuid:ef512be4-b568-4178-8244-d8ac3fc513f22020-08-06T11:53:27+1000
Behold, I have set before you this day life and prosperity, and
death and evil. For I command you this day to love Yahweh your
God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments, his
statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and
that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to
possess it.
Talking Point: This Commandment is Not Too Hard for
YouDavid Trudgetturn:uuid:6f74e803-a479-48e5-be84-e1beb31fdc782020-08-05T16:12:50+1000
For this commandment which I command you this day is not too hard
for you or too distant. It is not in heaven, that you should say,
"Who will go up for us to heaven, and bring it to us, and proclaim
it to us, that we may do it?" Neither is it beyond the sea, that
you should say, "Who will go over the sea for us, and bring it to
us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?" But the word is
very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do
it.
Talking Point: On the First of the ShabbatsDavid Trudgetturn:uuid:a3cff78a-bc60-4071-9f8b-df665f25326d2020-08-04T15:07:31+1000
Now on the First of the Shabbats, Miryam Ha-Magdalit is coming

Therefore, let not anyone judge ye in eating and drinking, whether
during a feast, or a new moon or Sabbaths, which are a reflection
of the things to come, and that reflected being Messiah.

As Messianics, we know better than most that we cannot and should
not rely on any elite to tell us what Scripture says, because this
is the same as telling us what to believe. As Messianics, we know
that key portions of Scripture have been systematically
misinterpreted and mistranslated. Even the original text of
Scripture has not been entirely immune from deliberate corruption
by Church scribes who did not want the Scripture to say what it
says.
Talking Point: Do Not Think that I Came to Abolish the LawDavid Trudgetturn:uuid:1d3a1d67-2028-43d3-a2ef-6727ca6c37692020-07-13T14:32:12+1000

Not all Christians observe the Sabbath, despite it being prominent
among the Ten Commandments. Those who do observe it, often do so
for slightly differing reasons. This booklet is not a survey of
these reasons, but a defence of the correct reasons for keeping
the Sabbath Day holy.
The cover image on this booklet shows a representation of the Ten
Commandments, with the Fourth Commandment (the Sabbath one)
highlighted. The Commandments are numbered in Hebrew because, of
course, the Commandments were given in that language.
