nocturnal baby december 21st, 1999 Aisling rolls over quite a lot now, though she doesn't really seem to enjoy being on her stomach for some reason. she will sit up for a split-second, but then she'll slump or fall over to one side. she'll get the hang of it. :) and i really do believe she's actually cutting teeth now. her lower front gums are swollen and you can see the impression of teeth beneath the surface. i've started her on solids, kind of. around dinner time i'll sit her in her chair and she'll have a "solid" meal, of cereal, fruit, and juice usually. she really loves eating actual food, she'll grab the spoon and stick it in her mouth if i'm not getting there fast enough. :) during finals she became extremely nocturnal, but now she's on a "normal" schedule, which is confusing to me since i've never been on a "normal" schedule. she goes to sleep around eleven or twelve at night, now, and will sleep until seven in the morning. but that's just as well considering i have morning classes next semester and will have to get up early anyway. she's not *quite* sleeping through the night yet, but i'm sure she will as soon as she gets adjusted to this schedule. because when she was being nocturnal, she would sleep for long, seven-hour stretches in the middle of the day. :) she's also finally getting over her extremely fussy stage, i think, which she has been in for the past month. perhaps she was just tired of being couped up in the house, and is happy she can get out now that i have my car back. :) christmas is in a few days, and i am very excited. even though she has absolutely no concept of christmas at this age. ;)
