SEE YOU LATER 2025-06-01 A little boy and a little girl playing on the beach. They met a few hours earlier, by chance, in the sand. They've been together ever since. They make holes that fill with water. They protect them with large structures they call "towers" and "castles". At noon they urge their respective parents to eat together near their fortress. And they play and play, laughing and having fun. For hours on end. They've known each other forever, it seems to them. After a very long time, with the waves blowing, the sun finally sets and it's time for everyone to go home. Time to catch the bus, then the train back home. The two children look at each other, wet and full of sand, stars in their eyes. They observe and admire each other. This time it's really time; parents have finished packing up, everything is ready, the towels are in the bags and the parasols are folded. And as the piano notes of Debussy's Clair de Lune can be heard in the distance, they say "see you later!" with an amused smile, waving hand. They both know they'll never see each other again.
