While browsing itch.io several days ago, I cam across a game gen-
re I'd barely heard of before: visual novels. It's not normally
the kind of game I like -- I'm more of a doom-liker. However, su-
rely attracted by a "je-ne-sais-quoi" in the descriptions, I dow-
loaded one or two, and started playing (they're using Ren'Py, so
it can be played on almost every machine that can run Python).

It's got a bit of the same spirit of the You Are the Hero books.
So, yes, it is very "romance novel" but, strangely enough, I was
hooked. If I take a step back, I could say that for me it's a way
of getting out of my daily life, which is a little gloomy lately.
