The power brick for my MacBook Pro decided to fail, so I'm on my Dell laptop now. I transfered all of my files earlier, but now I'm *really* glad I did so. This isn't something I was expecting to happen any time soon, so I get to figure out all new workflows with no real safety net! I mean, I was going to go this route anyway, but I was planning on it being on a RPi 400 or something, and not a sudden moment of panic. Mind you, I was hoping to take my time with this, but as I've learned in my life, time will never let you keep your plans. Now, I'm on Debian, running MATE and pretty much nothing but GIMP, Pale Moon, Firefox, and a number of CLI/TUI apps in a terminal. I even got mutt and slrn set up for email and newsgroups, and *just* got my RSS feeds imported into newsboat as I started writing this. Haven't grabbed bashpodder[0] to grab my podcast list yet, but I should still have my modified version of it somewhere that is a bit better sorted for the config files. At least I have Emacs and Wordgrinder to keep me going. For today and tomorrow, I think I'm going to get myself settled again, and go figure out what kinds of templates and such that I need to sort out. Also need to get something set up for my private blog again... Let's see if I can get Chronicle going, along with my Perl toolbox. \~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~/ [0]: https://lincgeek.org/bashpodder/
