A bottle of Sake, some red wine and an awful lot of chips and salsa, my stomach isn't happy this morning. I didn't smoke though, even as I was hanging out with the theater crew, a definite trigger for smoking. I don't like the fact that I can drink anything these days. It was nice when I was scared of drinking. But now I know my body can handle it, and I don't waste my whole next day. I probably won't make it to boxing tonight though and that's a drag. I'll have to train at home this week. We're planing to start writing. A small play, composed of as many scene as people want to write. Some sort of 'cadavre exquis' but theater style. I've never written theater, so it will be exciting to try. I recorded a radio show yesterday, after a few month of silence. It was nice to chat with the aNONradio crew, listen to new music, talk about evolution and past life. I also rebooted my oneiricmonk.com project. I saw the pdf I created for the first issue, and realized that it was really well made. I'm thinking that I should release more of these, but without a solid schedule so I don't stress about it. I had a plan to do a monthly creation, with audio, music, photo, illustration, on gopher, rss, gemini, http, self hosted on a openBSD local server! That didn't fly! The cost of transcribing and then copy editing was too high for me. Yet I needed to pay someone as I didn't have a lot of time. The server kept on being attacked by bots, and crashed. I wasn't familiar enough with openBSD to be able to sustain the maintenance and regular updates. I was using FairCamp in it's early stage that was changing often ended up breaking my site. But I still produce one magazine, with a nice photo shoot, one illustration of the oneiric monk... This time around, I'll keep the site going, and accumulate content for the next issue. Photos I take, illustration I make, music I record, and some audio / articles / meditation. We'll see where it goes, I'll keep it open and simple. I want to do it this way because I really like the concept of publishing something that has value once in a while. Instead of every time I have something almost interesting I share it with the world to justify my existence, I'd rather take the time to create a multimedia publication filled with my selected creations. Maybe even opening it up to other contributors at one point?
