More Beauty Sought

Purge all the stinking filth, the ruin'd and the dead,
the shining, shimm'ring poison fest'ring in the soul;
the lovelier the blocks, the more should they be fled;
more strongly purge what strongly turns you from the goal.

For naught is uglier, nor with more danger fraught,
than beauty found which stands before more beauty sought.
