Hi, I contacted Liz about rebroadcasting her podcast on MixRemix Radio at http://mixremix.cc. I am already playing music from the Free Music Archive on my Free Music Mix and Creative Commons Remix shows. Right now the station is all music and I would like to add some on topic podcasts. Liz asked for more info about MixRemix so here it is. I have been a free culture advocate for years both using Creative Commons material in my projects and releasing my own art with Creative Commons licenses. There will be three parts to MixRemix and right now two of them are in place. On the MixRemix blog I post Free Culture and Creative Commons art, music, and literature. On MixRemix Radio I feature Free Culture and Creative Commons music as well as full concerts from the Live Music Archive. The third part, that I plan to implement soon will be a mastodon instance where curators and others can post links and discuss Free Culture and Creative Commons projects. Anyone with at least 10 on topic posts can become a curator. The curators timelines will become part of the outward facing interface of the mastodon instance. I have three other Free Culture web projects I have been working on. KGPL is an on demand radio interface that plays music from the Internet Archive. This is a GPL software I wrote using PHP and Javascript. I have three stations running now. Delta Boogie Radio - http://deltaboogie.com/hifi LMAJazz - http://kgpl.org/lmajazz KGPL for Deadheads - http://kgpl.org Music from each of these stations is now also part of the MixRemix Radio library and each station has a daily two hour show. At SFF Short Stories I post my own super shorts and I also post other reusable SF and Fantasy stories licensed Creative Commons and public domain. http://sffshortstories.com My summer project is Collab, a collaborative writing game. Collab is pre beta but I do have two versions running on the net. Collab - http://sffshortstories.com/collab Collab Talk - http://collab.tk I am a retired computer consultant back in school for music composition. I use Linux and other free software almost exclusively. So that's the background all of this comes out of. Besides Liz's podcast I would like to run other on topic podcasts. I am also looking for any interesting podcasts on whatever topic if the podcasts are licensed with a Creative Commons license. Please send links and suggestions. Thanks, Hairy Larry hairylarry@deltaboogie.com
