Yes, it's Matt Lucas talking about Duke Ellington at KASU's Jazz Thursday, what a great show. Matt sang "Satin Doll" and before that he did "Tenderly" and "It Had To Be You".

Matt Lucas has done it all. Rock, R&B, Blue Eyed Soul, and Blues, but Jazz remains his first love. And you can hear in his voice just how much he loves these songs.

Matt was the featured act at Jazz Thursday on September 23, 2010. Playing with Matt was Harriet O'Neal on piano and John Long on drums. The audience really enjoyed hearing Matt sing Jazz Standards.

Now that's what I'm talking about, Matt Lucas singing "Stormy Weather". Before that we heard him swing through "What A Difference A Day Makes". Great vocal work on great songs.

And joining Matt during his second set were guest soloists, Paul Moore on mandolin, David Hall on sax and clarinet, and Ron Horton on trumpet. Mike Overall also joined us on the drums. Fine musicians all we really generated some excitement playing this classic music.
