All right now, that's Norma Lopez singing "Night And Day" with the ASU Lab Band directed by Dr. Ron Horton. Before that we heard "Groovin' Hard" and "Filthy McNasty".

The Jazz Band concert was at Riceland Hall on April 19, 2012. I am pleased to bring you this great Jazz played by my classmates at ASU. For all of your retired people out there I can recommend taking a course at ASU. The students are great and they'll keep you young.

Dr. Ron Horton is the Director Of Jazz Studies at ASU. This means he's the guy that teaches these students how to sound this good.

Now I've got a special treat. Earlier in the show we heard Dizzy Gillespie's "Manteca". Back in the day the Jonesboro Jazz Society brought Dizzy to Jonesboro to play. And when the Jazz Society Big Band played "Manteca" Gillespie walked on stage and took a solo. Here they are now, The Jonesboro Jazz Society Big Band with Dizzy Gillespie.
