Fish Story

I know you heard a fish story or two
Last time I went fishin I heard something new
I pulled in a whiskerfish I was shakin in my shoes
When that old mudcat started singin the blues.

He said,
Now I got you, hook, line, and sinker
Cause the fish you just caught will get you all distraught
You better throw me back before this old mudcat
Gets all fishy in your face and turns into a stinker.

So I was troubled, didn't know what to do
Cause I had a hankering for mudcat stew.
But that whiskerfish said, If you try to eat me.
You'll be caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

You heard about Jonah now that's quite a tale
If you try to eat me you'll think you swallowed a whale
Cause I'll blow up big like a polar bear
And bust my ass right outta there.

He said,

Suddenly I didn't feel so well
I looked past that whiskerfish straight into hell
As I grabbed my knife and started cuttin him free
He stuck his whiskers right into me
