Summer Day by Larry Heyl CC-BY We're all gone to the fair on a bright summer day Just a skip and a jump down Candleford Way My hair tied up in ribbons and bows. I'm all scrubbed clean from my head to my toes. My feet jump lightly in my bright yellow shoes, With nothing to gain and nothing to lose. If you're in for a penny, you're in for a pound. So let's dance in the street til the sun goes down. Come sing with me tra la la tra la la. You can bow to my ma and bow to my da. Though your mind might wander, your eyes might roam, When the sun goes down we will all go home.
