Travelling again

It have became a norm that I  have to travel by train. Usually 3-4 hour
rides, often with working  WiFi. This in good as I  usually can do some
work done.

I  have  been using  the  MNT  Pocket Reform  there.  I'm  used to  its
orthogonal keyboard  and like its  trackball. It's almost  normal Linux
computer, just  an ARM one (and  a bit smaller than  others). So things
work as expected here.

The Reform have had some issues,  of course. The non-working suspend is
still the one (moreover, it is not  going to be fixed for my CPU model)
but the WiFi one  has been solved by a new WiFi  card (the build-in one
is ignored now). Surprisingly, I have  no noticeable speed nor RAM size
issues (8GB with no swap).

By the  way, a script called  pseudo-suspend is available as  a partial
solution  for the  non-working suspend.  It  slow down  the CPU,  stops
services  and radio  and turns  off the  internal screen  (but not  the
external one, if any). Energy savings are relatively small but they are
here.

Heat can be  viewed as an issue -  the back of the screen  can be quite
hot as the CPU is up to 71 degrees of Celsius when running the Firefox.
But its about 62 degrees when  running other software. A good reason to
not to browse WWW too much.

After all,  the machine is good  enough for my need.  Moreover, it fits
neatly on the small  tables in trains - it leaves  enough space for cup
or bottle  (the depression  on the table  which is meant  for a  cup is
usually located under the normally-sized  laptop). There is even enough
place for the USB cable (the USB-C  connectors of the Reform are on the
right side of its screen - and the cups are placed on that side, too).

Well, it helps me to survive these rides!
