August ====== Not much computing in August. I decided to have ACTUAL holidays. In last (many) years it was rather different. Few one-day trips but mostly being at work (or working from home) all the time. Not as actively as normally but working. Obviously, it wasn't sustainable and I felt I need actually stop to work for at leas few weeks. So this August I was in Austria twice. For the first time just for a short visit to Graz. I need to got through Wien there so I used this opportunity, too. Moslty walking, sightseeing, eating of ice cream and so on. The second visit wason bikes. A part of Murradwed (Mur rived cycle path). Traveling with bikes was fun. Until I realised that derailleurs of our Moulton TSR bikes (with 20" wheels) are not so much compatible with bike racks in Polish trains. We needed to use IC train from Poland in order to get to Wien (and back). Austrian trains (both RailJet and IC trains) have better designed racks. Riding a bike for 200 km in 5 days wasn't a big deal was easy. Nice places, nice views (that was lower part of Alps with no high peaks but it has its own magic). There were just a few other cyclists. Liked that and now I'm thinking about plans for the next year. I didn't used many computing devices there. Just a phone with GPS (mostly as a backup device as I prefer to print all train tickets). Ther Mur path is well signed so navigation device was almost unnecessary. We had our old Sony digital camera and analog one (Olympus [mju:]) to take pictures. I made a few pictures with phone but not that much (the Fairphone is good in making sunset and sunrise pictures). Written on the SGI O2.
