KB3NTT, a Journal Johnathan Mayo's adventures of ham radio. -- Wednesday, August 16, 2006: After looking around some more, we decided to buy a Yaesu FT-60R. It's relatively modern, unlike the Icom we we're looking at yesterday. We also got the adapter cable to hook it up to a TNC and a headphone (which probably won't get much use). Come on UPS, you can do it, quickly please! Looks like a TNC will be a while though, the online ones were all around $50 so we'll definitly wait for a hamfest, F.A.R.Fest is the closest one within the next month that I expect to be big enough to actually find stuff. Hope to be on the air soon This file is also available at: http://jmayo.freeshell.org/hamradio/20060816.html Copyright 2006 Johnathan Mayo, KB3NTT
