04 Feb 2008 I liked the idea of a 'phlog' so I thought I'd give it a try. I rarely post in my blogs, though, so it's possible the same thing will happen here, but I won't know unless I make the attempt. The gopher server has only been up for a few days; I'm still trying to decide what kind of content I can put on it. I think the Principia Discordia (text only version, of course) is a good start. I'll have to look through the old files I've collected over the years and see what I have. Of course, I should also put up original stuff as well. That's all I have for now; I should update the changes file and add this to the main menu. Here's hoping this gopher doesn't end up like so many of the ones I've seen on SDF (that is, "put up a test file and forget about it"). ========================================================================= 10 Feb. 2008 I'm not home tonight, for once. I'm spending some time with a few friends I haven't seen in a while. We've finally quit talking about starting a band; we've actually started one. Tonight we got some guys and some instruments together and started playing. That's more than we've done before. ========================================================================= Monday, 25 Feb. 2008 00:20 CST I just saw the brightest meteor I've ever seen. It was so bright that it wasn't a streak in the sky, but a blue-white blob. It lasted a few seconds; long enough that I had time to turn and look at it before it disappeared (I wasn't facing that direction initially). Quite an interesting experience. It's definitely one of those times you wish you'd had a camera.
