Castlevania on Netflix Published on Monday, July 10th, 2017 I hadn't kept up with the hype this spring, and sort of stumbled over the series, thinking "Holy crud, a Netflix-produced animé, and featuring Castlevania no less! Gotta watch this!" The Castlevania series has been a staple of my childhood, and I absolutely love playing through the games from time to time. Nowadays I've also gotten appreciative of the amount of camp scattered throughout the series, something that went way over kid-me's head. Needless to say, I didn't expect much. I mean, it isn't a masterpiece by any means, but it is actually pretty entertaining. I've seen people complain that it doesn't ~stay true to the original material~ (whatever that means), but they seem pretty boring anyway. Sure, there are a few holes in the lore, and it lurches a bit storywise, and it is a bit weird with Dracula being a sort of asshole-Dr Who in contact the legions of hell, but come on! The four first subbed episodes are available at [GoGoAnime](https://gogoanime.io/category/castlevania). <3 jzp
