The (wacked out?) theory is that humans originally developed on Mars (by
evolution, being created by god[s]/aliens, whatever), but then when
Mars' core hardened, its magnetic field dwindled, and its atmosphere
began to deplete [due to solar wind and insufficient van allen belt
protection], humans were "somehow transported" to Earth, hence 'missing
links' and some evidence to suggest that the human genome is
sufficiently different from other animals, even primates [consistent
with the creation/evolution debates that have been ongoing since Darwin
suggested evolution, not creation, was the basis of life on earth (which
continually corrects errors in BOTH models, so keep the debate going,
k-thx)].

Anyway, I found this little connection interesting, if nothing else.

earth.  interesting thought.  now if I could just get the engine design
