Has anyone else just... not had the will or drive to make much of anything lately? Not sure if it's burnout or something else, but a lot of the personal goals I've set for myself before I head back to college just aren't going much of anywhere. Doesn't help I've been pretty lonely 'round my corner of the internet for a good long while. On one hand, I care not for the fame Twitter celebrities have, for most of that could be erased on a whim. On the other, having some friends to chat with and share project stuff about would be very nice to have. What's it worth owning the wealth of the world if I can't share it with anyone? The recent weeks over at the family home have felt like a loop of sleep, eat, help out when needed, browse social media, rinse, shower, and repeat, not helping matters any. (Not that it's really much different at the college dorms, helping out family replaced with attending classes, but still.) Trips to the local amusement park help break up the monotony, but I'll admit, it's more of a band-aid solution than an actual, long-term fix. Can't really turn to Discord for any good answers either, as most of those are either meme-ridden dumpster fires, or too quiet for any actual activity to take place. And/or I'm just not really active on Discord in general. That kinda leaves me with the extremely awkward Catch-22 situation I'm dealing with on the websites I still bother going to. (I suppose there IS Smol Web July... but that would require giving up VTubers. No friggin' thank you.) I wanna be able to actually make stuff to get an audience... but my lack of an audience kinda dulls my will to actually make stuff, and the previous stuff I made's barely attracting anyone. Again, I'm not aiming for a super-high follower count, I just wanna be able to fill the niche of the internet I found myself into. I dunno what I'm gonna do, tbh. Maybe take up skydiving once I have the time and money for that. If you have any ideas/suggestions, or you play Classic Doom and you're potentially interested in making a Doom and Doom-related gophermound, send me some words over at kinker31@sdf.org, and we'll further conspire.
