   internet access. The chair wins over the internet. i have the
   internet five feet away from me,but i have to stand. Don't like
   that much. In starting up another website, what is your purpose?
   So far what you've been doing is: set up a domain over a
   "concept" and then figure out the exactly whats once you get the
   'perfect' cms going. You've been worried about the UI, etc. But
   WHAT will people be able to do there that they can't do anywhere
   else? Is it a business directory? Well, you kinda have that. not
   as well as you'd like but you have one. whoswho are you thinking
   of recreating a "spock" but for naples? That's what it seems
   like! For an effort to meet new people, you need to allow them
   to create a profile. Better still, use public information on the
   web and CREATE profiles for them. That would be more powerful
   and potentially more useful. If they have a problem, then I will
   be happy to remove it. You could just go ahead and make it
   nationwide. That would solve the problem of worrying about its
   locality. The wiki had promise but it was "boring". that's
   something as well - the boring factor. But CAN you serve all
   areas of the population? Some people are not INTERESTED in other
   people, just information. I guess you're back to the old global
   categorization of information, a system of systems of sorts....
   god, if only I were just a little bit smarter. It's like it's
   JUST out of reach. How do you make a website a "happening
   place"? Well, what do you do when you host a party? Offer a seat
   or standing? give them a drink? Coke? Water? Beer? Wine? Cognac?
   How do you allow the conversations to flow, one into another,
   without the sense of absurd categorization (too many categories
   = confusion IF they're all exposed at the start) that's part of
   the trouble I have with naplesplus. Too many categories -- or
   too much exposed information. -----okay let's see... a mashup
   idea with spock MIGHT work, with some work... You need to get
   some focus. You want a website that runs itself. No interference
   required from you - you get to sit back and enjoy it.
   Naplesplus, well you found out you don't care about naples news
   that much - or perhaps you just don't like the layout. It can be
   changed, you know. Maybe you'rre just bored with the layout.
   Make it like news articles in boxes. That'd be potentially
   cool...
