I don't think he would've been a John Denver (sorry John - you
   were good, but you weren't Jesus) - but I think he would've been
   part of an Underground band - sneered at by the locals ("no man
   is a prophet is his home town") but gaining in popularity
   elsewhere. But afterwards, his bandmates would have sent out
   bumper stickers, flyers, refrigerator magnets, been on youtube,
   facebook and yes - even ...myspace - put out AdWords ads on
   Google, had the emblems on sneakers, hats and t-shirts - and
   gotten followers to do the same - secret code words.. and have a
   whole legion of young folks saying, "They just don't understand
   us." The radio stations wouldn't play the songs because of their
   anti-establishment ways, but they'd be passed around just the
   same."
