I love the trick of flipping a question around to turn it into a
   statement. Figured out how to do it as a kid - and was a great
   defense against word-attacks - very common in elementary school
   onwards - "What are you, an idiot?" "What I am, is an idiot!"
   Left dumbfounded and speechless, they walk away, having found
   agreement instead of argument, and I become a useless target :P
   "
