^Humans are not #rational #logical creatures. We are #emotional creatures. #deciding requires emotions. People who have no emotions cannot decide anything. Its been proven through people who have had that part of the brain destroyed through disease or surgery. They endlessly debate tiny little, unimportant facts and can't decide anything. There's no #dopamine to give it that "push" to prioritize. People with too much #emotion become #addicts. This has been shown through people with #parkinsons who have been given Dopamine to treat the few dopamine receptors they have left. Their brains become flooded with excess dopamine and they often become addicted to gambling or other things. #pure #logic is a myth. The perfectly rational human being who is emotionless makes decisions like an #economist - endlessly debating miniscule factors within their own mind, using their #prefrontal cortex to decide everything. But they have no #intuition - no #gut #feeling. We need emotions to function.. just not too much. Otherwise, we're left paralyzed, either in Analysis Paralysis (no emotions) or addicted to something (too much emotion)^
