David Wolfer Speaking for myself, I don't know what the answers
   are. In my 20s, I became Eastern Orthodox Christian (from
   Methodist, then Unitarian, Buddhist) - and was in a monastery
   for a bit. It's actually part of my retirement plan. Wonderful
   environment! For experiential knowledge (knowledge of self and
   other through contemplation) it was marvelous! "
