^Fixed our dryer tonite. Showed all signs of deadness. A hum
   when you press "start". I almost gave up. Then I remember an old
   trick from various electronics and machines through the years:
   JIGGLE THE POWER. So, I tapped the start button really quickly a
   few times, which somehow woke up the motor and viola!

   Of course, the motor's dying, but if we can get another few
   months out of this thing, it'll be a good thing.^
