Two conflicting beliefs can be true; Aphorisms are a great example: "He who hesitates is lost" vs. "Everything comes to he who waits." Both true. Conflicting beliefs are more often simultaneously true than not; each contains a kernel of truth. Take things from a metaphorical context and many more things are true than those based upon Aristotelian Logic (which has built in limitations such as the Law of Non-Contradiction - there are other Logic systems not limited by Aristotle) and based on a limited set of definitions for particular words. I'm not saying that I have the answer; I don't; I'm just giving food for thought and discussion.
