Think about this though: What's an idea? It come Plato, who believed that there is a world of "ideas" - perfected forms that are outside of space and time. I do not believe in ideas. I believe in concepts, which can be traced back through human history, schools of thought and such. I do not believe there is such a thing as abstractions. They are a part of cognitive processes that we are beginning to measure (at a very early stage). It takes brains to think. It takes humans to have human brains. Humans need bodies and brains. We need socieites and cultures to teach languages and transmit our history from the past to the present using some structure of some kind. In other words, I don't see a dichotomy between "ideas" and the beings that are using them. My bias is embodied cognition, so it might explain why I sound a little strange
