+[1]Charles van Dijk From a mythological standpoint (and via reasoning by analogy), +[2]Gerry Nightingale makes sense.* Considering purely mathematical constructs as "unicorns" and "zombies" is a fight of one set of platonic ideals vs another set of platonic ideals. It's the trouble that "pure-theories" run into.** That's where empiricism is somewhat superior, although quite difficult when dealing with realms of "How many angels can fit on the head of a pin?" That being said, I don't believe all things are quantizable (that is, can be counted) - but a lot is and I'm grateful there are people working in that field, along with the engineers who are trying to build things at that scale, providing some empirical data at least a few of the zombies and Unicorns if perhaps not all of them.
