Here: I will give an example: Imagine you are the singular member of a species that is billions of years old (from our perspective) You are larger than the Earth. You are watching it from afar. Life comes and it's gone. Counting? Counting what? If you are able to slow down your view of events passing with a video technology that could slow down time passing, the comings and goings of lives wouldn't be pairs, but perhaps like fast boiling bubbles that evaporate... or like a color shift.
