* I see feelings as a computation of the unconscious (sort of). The rational brains sometimes what gets in the way there though. It interprets the feeling and tries to give a logical explanation "why"... and the finger for the emotion *might* have to point to a bully in the 3rd grade rather than the person who is standing right in front of you [1]4 hrs * [2]Like * [3]1 * [4][IMG] [5]Kenneth Udut [ie - I think our feelings might interpret a situation by how similar it is to a nearly forgotten situation, but that has... hmmm. PTSD-level impact... and the level of our response might be excessive (or underwhelming) because the rationalizer is putting together the wrong set of 'facts' to try to make it fit the emotion... when in fact the set of facts it might be better using is the prototype of this "type" of situation.. of course that requires 'knowing yourself" unbelievably well. .but in theory it's possible.
