I love your thoughts on the subject.* I agree with you as well.* I almost became a schoolteacher until I realized how little is required.* To teach, you just have to have a book in front of you that has a little bit more information than the students.* That's really it. It shouldn't be that way.* Not that every teacher would have to passionate... for many it's a job, and like any job, there are always those people who just go there to get paid and they don't particularly mind the work. But I think education could go a lot further than it does today: kids seek out information outside of school because school barely covers what it does... I mean, most of us survive it but I think we can do more than survive school or get good grades:* It should inspire passion for something that's unique to each person... something they could carry on to their life's work even.
