I may take you up on that editor offer one day. I've tossed
   together two self-published books for the fun of it, on Amazon -
   just to see if I could do it. [my goal was to gather everything
   together and publish a book for sale in less than 45 minutes -
   it ended up taking an hour and a half the first time and 45
   minutes the second time a few weeks later)... so at least, if I
   wanted to, I could say, "Yup, I'm an author". I decided getting
   it over with was easier than stressing over the "Perfect Book"
   just yet.

   And it worked.

   One is a thesaurus of decontextualizing 100,000 words in English
   that I did last year (based upon a commonly available Thesaurus
   data source used by linguists and such) - and the other was a
   book of things I said. They both actually sold a couple of
   copies, but really, I just did it to get it over with so I could
   move on to my next project instead of worrying about THE BOOK
   THAT WILL SAVE HUMANITY.
