Society does not have eyes. Society is a fictional "They".
   PEOPLE have eyes. PEOPLE make judgements. PEOPLE speak. PEOPLE
   are flesh and blood, have names and voices. Society is a
   fictional organism. Many of us act *as if* society is real, but
   it is not. Society is a mythological creature that many of us
   believe in. But this does not mean that society is not
   important. It is important because we make it important and
   breath life into it. But ultimately, society is an imaginary
   thing. Society has no viewpoint. People do. Individuals do. You
   do. I do. We matter. Why it took 43 years to suddenly "click
   in", I have no idea. I probably already knew it, forgot and
   simply remembered.
