[1]how_real_math-is-done Apparently, I did poorly on "Motion Problems" one quarter at school. So, I looked up "Motion Problems". Then I saw them. The ridiculous word problems that expect you to be precise when in the REAL WORLD, it's far more likely that ESTIMATION is a better choice than PRECISION. So, take that, word problems. Both the boy Kenneth Udut and the 43 year old Kenneth Udut were right. Your questions were wrong and stupid, fantasy and not how things are done in the real world, with real problems, and where quick answers are required that are CLOSE ENOUGH. Real people have to estimate. Precision that's too precise doesn't take into account things like... oh... TRAFFIC, having to stop at the store real quick to pee and stuff like that. Totally unrealistic. I knew it then. I know it now. So there :P I got your d=r*t just fine. I just rekt your desire for precision. Feel free to up my grade. Thank you. Ken, who is going through understanding _exactly_ why things like, "The way math is taught" has always bothered me.* I'm starting to understand the pattern :) References Visible links 1. http://icopiedyou.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/how_real_math-is-done.gif
