The only game I ever really play is Minecraft. Sometimes I'll play other games with my nephew (he's 9) if I must, but they're not my thing. But I like Minecraft. A lot. Ran a big server for 23 months straight, nearly killing my poor hard drive in the process 'til I gave it up in September. I also like cards and darts. Pool too, although I'm not as good as I think I am. I'm good at flipping the dart where you throw it from the tip and get it to go in. Not as good at aiming unless I'm in the spirit. I beta tested Doom and Neverwinter Nights on AOL around 92-93. I could see the direction games were going; chat rooms were going to get inserted into games and were going to disappear and everything was going to go first-person shooter. So those were my last until Minecraft. Besides, I thought gaming was dead because no new consoles were coming out. By the time they got good, I didn't care... 'til Minecraft anyway. Then I was like, SOMETHING NEW SOMETHING NEW SOMETHING NEW Oh wait: Pinball. I *really* liked pinball. Wanted a machine for years 'til I realized how much work you have to do to maintain it. Forget that. SO: Minecraft Pinball and ... damn I wanna say air hockey but I'd be alone there.... so... hm. unlimited pens and paper. Then I can invent new games to play. Wait - only 3 months? Then Super Smash Bros for the Wii U. I can't get used to the damned wireless controllers. Makes my shoulders ache. So 3 months would be good training so when I get back, I can say "Yes" when my nephew wants to play it, instead of making excuses all of the time. My shoulders will be nice and strong then and I could whup his ass sometimes on equal terms
